hello there! i had both good and bad memories in my first job..i had good memries in the sense that i enjoyed my high salary there only to find out later that were overloaded with work to be paid by such. it very late for me to discover it because it was still my first job and i had no previous job experience to compare it with. [mjmlagat]

The first real job I had was after I graduated from college. Before I got the job, I promised myself that I must be wise enough to spend my money only on very important things, never mind the unwanted ones. The first time I got my first salary, I was really happy and so proud of myself that I spent almost all of them after a week, and then I said to myself "well, maybe I can save a little next time...but same thing happened on my second payday, and on the third..and so on and so forth...then I quit the job. I realized that I haven't saved enough from the money that I was supposed to keep from my salary.. Now, I am again looking for another job, and this time I'm gonna keep my promise.. [galileo2008]

the nicest memory i could recall about my first job is my first payday. i wanted to give it as a gift to my mom whose face lit up when she received it. i could see a little tear on the side of her eyes but i know it was because she was happy.happy i didnt think of shoes or dress or any material things on my first pay. the next day my mom gave me a bank passbook and told me my life is starting hence she is giving back the money for me to save because it is the start of my independence. isnt she sweet? [tigeraunt]

Yup, and it was exciting having to earn your own money after years of being dependent on one's parents. In fact, I had to share part of it to my parents, and every payday thereafter. Like you, I was also so proud of it, and I could not believe I was actually earning already. I was so young then, only around 21 years old, and with lots of dreams. [psyche49f]

I don't remember how I spent my first salary from my first job. What I do remember is that I was the youngest employee in our office at the time I started working. I was barely 18 years old then and I was a working student. I work in the office from 8 to 5 pm and then rush off to school to earn my Bachelor's degree. With the help of God and my salary, I was able to finish my college degree even if it took me 6 years to earn it. [blungel0830]

well, I got my first job I think around 3 years ago.. It was quite amusing if I may say.. LOL. well, I liked my work, I liked the people I worked with, but I really feel any fulfillment with my job. And I was still in the crossroad of my life back then, so I left it after 6 months. And not to mention, that my boss was actually hitting on me does not help either. LOL. [Ingkingderders]

I remember my first job I was casheir at a grocery store. When I got my first pay check I was so excited. I opened up a bank account and was happy to be earning my own money. [emilie2300]

My current job is my second job, I can memorize most of the details about my first job. And I always try to compare it with my first job. There are a lot of memories about my first job, like my first day work, my first salary, my boss, my colleagues. Even I and my friends don't contact very often, but we were getting very well. I admit that I had a good time there, [pengbubu]

I definitely have nice and memories from my first job. It was so memorable. It was just one day before i got fired. LOL... Seriously though, i happened to be already working when i was still in college. My point was, i had the opportunity to have a job that is actually the job that many other people want so that they can feed their families. Why then should i give it up just for my studies? Well, i can always go back to studying, but jobs like that is hard to find, as employment rate here is so high. Then, my first paycheck came. It was wonderful. There in my first job i also met my girlfriend. She helped me out with my job. So, it was really memorable, amnd i still have the company id to this day. [safejunk]

Hi there...my first job, was when i was so young.I like to remember, of course, is my life, and were first time when i feel in my pocket my own money. My father, say to me than that he is proud with me, so this is my best memories about him. My salary were big , i save something, and after i spent something for my family. Any way, seems that this are the most sweet money, when we earn with our hands.happy [marianna45]

[cindyhxf]

i still remember the first job and the first money i got.... but the memories are not so beautiful , maybe it just passed around 1 year.... maybe with time pass by, i will cherish it for beautiful memory.. [kelly_hello]

I have a beautiful memories of my first job where i earn my first salary. Aside from the salary that i longed for, i had experienced the thrills of going places after i finished college for i was working as consultant in different places. I also met the loved of my life during that time hich im so grateful for having experiencing my first real job. [pyre82]

Yes, I remember my first job. Right after my high school, while waiting for my results, I entered the securities company and assisted a remisier. My first pay for a month is RM600, and later due to CNY, I have half a month bonus. So proud and feel so good. [cwong77]

I don't know about nice memories lol. I just started driving and decided to go get a job at a carwash. The hours were great b/c it closed early enough for me to do my homework and get to bed on time to wake for school the next morning. It was closed on Sunday's which gave me time to spend with my family and closed at 6 on Saturdays so I could still have fun at night. I think I was making $5.25 an hour lol. I quit when summer came b/c it was just too hot being out there all day long in the heat. [mflower2053]

i did like where i worked like you said when you got your own money for the first time it was great and i would always spend it on rubbish just because i could. [OConnell87]

I certainly do have memories about my first job, some very pleasant, some very frustrating ! Ha Ha. It was very pleasant because that was the type of job I wanted because it fits my educational background. Very frustrating because there were things I have never heard of before ! My first salary ? Oh , yea ! I bought a nice CD Player, enjoyed my favorite songs in the evenings ! [greenline]

They were actually mostly bad memories, but not because of the job itself. I wanted to work when I was eleven but in my state there are labor laws that say you must be fourteen. When I turned fourteen I got a job at a dry cleaner. It was the first time I realized how people are truly miserable on a wide-scale. No matter how nice I was at the counter when I greeted customers, only the rare person would smile and be nice back. I went home the first day after work and remember telling my mom, "I had no idea people were so mean." I've worked in a few customer service jobs, and have the highest amount of respect for all customer service representatives for just being able to do the job. It takes a lot of patience and understanding to deal with strangers that usually act like teething children. Of course, that respect grows even more for the customer service workers who can do the job RIGHT and with a smile...that takes even more hard work! [LovingLife139]

i remember my first job. i started it in june 1983 and i was so proud to actually be earning money. i worked in a little engineering workshop, we made small parts for cars, little plates of thin steel with holes in. my job was to sit at a drilling machine drilling holes in countless little plates of steel, it was an easy job and we had a radio so it didn't get too boring. there were only three of us in the workshop and i got on well with the other two. i remember my first wage, i took home £59 and i thought i was rich, i spent it on clothes and a good night out at the weekend happy [robert67]

I got my first job when I was about 21 years old. My parents wanted me to focus on my studies, but I thought I was old enough to start earning my own money. I applied to be a dishwasher or work in a group home with developmentally disabled adults. Guess which one I got. (I don't have dishpan hands). I was really excited at first, but when I realized that I would have to help some of these people toilet, and I would be pulling 24 hour shifts every weekend, and that I would have to learn self defense because some of the clients lashed out... well, the novelty wore off. I stayed for quite awhile--more than a year--but I left before I graduated. I wasn't making much money, and it was interfering with my studies. I don't regret the experience, but it wasn't the place for me. [cheekysuze]

i have nice memories of my first job. i was young and i joined as a teacher in a kindergarten school. Oh how nice it was i really enjoyed my time with the tiny tots. i liked to teach them learning playing singing dancing..... the salary was small but job satisfaction was great. now though i get a considerably more money the work is drudgery. those were the days, some times i think.... [subhadra123]

i remember my first job, it was a sales clerk in a grocery store, stocking and assisting costumer, and i ask my boss if i can work as a cashier because it seems to be easy job, but my boss said i need to under go being a clerk, i was frustrated as i need to stand all day long, but getting my first salary was so great as i earn my own money i gave some to my mom to help out. but sadly i only stayed 4 months at that job, its kind a hard job not pay much. but it was a great experience for me. happy posting!!! [itsme_cha]

I remember my first job pretty well. My mother told me that I had to earn money for my own car, so I had to find a job within walking distance. My best friend and I applied at the local grocery store - a good 20 minute walk from home. I was 15 at the time. We both got the job pretty quickly, baggers (courtesy clerks, lol). We would bag groceries for minimum wage and accept dime tips from old ladies. The worst was having to bring in the shopping carts from the parking lot. Man, I hated that part. To this day I am still very precise in how I bag my groceries. [sunmoonandstars]

i have been working ever since i was a kid, odd jobs... but the firs real job i got was that summer job when i was in college. i was a bundler, and it was field. id go from supermarket to supermarket binging free products from a certain company, mostly those of procter (P&G), shampoos, soap, then it is to be added on certain products as free, bundle them together. i did liked that job since i was able to go places even if it was hard carrying boxes of stuff. the money i earned i gave to my mom, i only get a few amount for myself. felt great since i was able to help my family. [jayrene]

My first money came from my part-time job. I bought grocery for my family. But unfortunately my first work last only for 2 weeks. I can't work any longer. I'm crying and I was thinking to my parents how they can work for a decade just to feed us. I know how difficult the life is.. [eighternity]

I certainly have very good memories of my first job. It was fun and interesting and I learned a lot of things. The people I worked with were great and it was nice to have my own money. Money that didn't come from my parents. Actually I started working as an act of rebellion but then I actually enjoyed it. I about 18 years old, and my first job was a summer job, that actually turned into my job for two years. Great memories, for sure :) [arkaf61]

My first job was when I was still in high school. I was proud of myself then because it was not common for kids my age (then) to work. I worked at a summer reading camp. Technically, my first real job was around 12 years back as a secretary while I was still at college. I've always handed over my salary to my parents (before marriage). My parents never used the money for household expenses and kept the money in an acount in my name...and handed it to me when I was married. Now, I have an account of my own where my salary is deposited. [SViswan]

I loved my first job! It was a large department at a savings and loan. It was so great to be making my own money. And I made a lot of funy friends there. Now that you mention it, I should see if I can locate any of those people. I lost touch with them over the years. I lucked out in that I had a great group of people to work with. It was almost fun to go to work. Icing on the cake to get paid besides! [LincecumFan]

I do remember my first job yes. I was just a teenager and very young. I really enjoyed it though and yes I felt like I was all grown up and independent. I really enjoyed having a job, being independent, not having to ask my parents for money when I wanted to buy something for myself. It was a great feeling. [UK_Shree]

Yes i have memories about my first job but it was not long time ago.I was there just for training in a big company and never got any salary. It was in a place very far from my home. The people in the company were good as i had to interact with most of them. The food in the company was very good.We got different types of foods in the afternoons.I felt sad when i had to leave after a month.sadsad [vicky30]
