I have not actually taken up any jobs overseas, but I have been to a number of countries in different parts of the world on my business trips. It certainly is very enjoyable to cooperate with people with different cultures. It may take a while to get adjusted to the living conditions in foreign lands, but after a while one will be quite happy. Have you ever thought of going abroad to work ? Do you like to work abroad ?

I used to install assembly lines, I was based out of Detroit MI. We went everywhere and I loved it! The best part was the money I'd make for travel and being away from home! Not to mention they were always in a hurry. I got double time on Sundays, and triple time on holidays, one New Years day I made $750 USD and that was a very good thing, I was in Mexico and lived like a King! tdemex [tdemex]

I am currently considering working abroad but only for a number of months. Just to gain experience and what I am thinking is not really work per se but just a paid internship for about 6-12 months max. There is this opportunity that my former college is offering even to us, alumni, and I already asked my Mom permission to try and apply and if I qualify then good and if not, then at least I tried. I think working abroad is a very good experience not just for the sake of our Curriculum Vitae but also as a life experience.happycool [marababe]
I hope, someday. I love to travel and each time I visited other countries, it broaden my perspective of life. I always wonder how it is like to be working in the foreign lands. However, as much as I am looking forward for the opportunities, I still have to consider the conditions at home. Meaning, my parents. They are getting old and the one thing I am always feared of is receiving bad news when I am abroad. [corrycrystal]
yes, i have been to the US and UK on short business trips and have enjoyed working with the folks there. and , maybe i would look to having a longer stint in the future, but i would certainly like to do it. it is also an opportunity to meet people of different culture and understand them and visit the places in that country. Oh, how I wish I had!! Sadly, I think I've left it a bit late now...oh well, serves me right! [Wizzywig]
I like to go abroad for training and maybe,to work for a few years because it's a very good exposure. It's a good career advantage especially in the industry I'm in. It's also an effective means of character-building. I've been on a 4-month training program where I experienced working abroad. I intend to continue the global exposure by participating at a career training for one year. Im open to the idea of working abroad but not permanently. I'd like to make a mark in my own country. As much as possible, i don't want to. its difficult having to adjust to the unfamiliar living environment, how much more with unfamiliar work setup and the people you had to work with? I am not disclosing any possibility though, but if i had the choice then i would like to visit another country as a tourist and not there for work. [abbypringles]
When I was still single I was willing to give it a try. I never had a chance to and now that I am married and have kids, its not something that I would consider unless I can bring my family with me. I don't think that the income, no matter how big, is worth being separated from my family. I would rather live a simple life with my family that to be able to buy the luxuries of life apart from them. [silverglint]
