Some people just don't like staying in the office all the time. So they need to take a break during lunch time. They like going out and breathe the fresh air. Although the time is short, but they still want to leave the office for a while. Are you one of these people?

absolutely in lunch time i go to outside the company. cos we get tired of working continuous for long time in company so my whole team go outside to refreshing ourselves. [sanju9t]

I don't stay in the office at the time of break. I prefer visiting to a nearby roadside cafe. Over there I meet with other colleagues and I prefer talking with them over different things. This makes me feel relaxed. [tuyakiki]

I usually prefer staying in the office so that I can take short naps or surf the internet during the rest of the break time. And also, when it is summer, I get headaches if I leave the cold office room, get exposed to the summer heat then back into the cold office again. [silverglint]

When the canteed at the back of my office is close... i have no choice but to go outside and eat my lunch... but i would have to walk for 3 minutes to do that... and it could be very hot outside... i don't really have a specific time to go to lunch... so being late back to work is not a problem... hi youless :) am blessed that i have a benefit on my work like this- we have our own pantry and the meal is free- we'll choose among the viands (max. of 3)) and rice all-you-can :) woaw! :) but sometimes my co-workers and some friends invite to eat out just to try others new restau/fastfood in town LOL :D just try other variants of food and be updated on what's goin on outside :D thanks :) Godabless!0=) [myralmedo]

Yes, definetely i go out during lunch break. Normally after lunch i walking outside of company for fresh my mind and body. This is my habit for walking outside for fit my body and fresh my mental fitness. I taking Juices during outside and make walk around 10 minutes so my lunch easy digest and i feeling again light weight. Every person wants to go out during lunch break, bcoz its make fresh and again energetic for start work again. [rakeshlalwani]

Hello youless. I love to enjoy the fresh air and nature, especially when I have my days off. I love to ride to the country for fresh air and enjoy the nature in the country, but after lunch during normal working days, I do not go out of school because I need to have some time for a nap to gain some energy to work in the afternoon and evening. I used to work on the fourth floor in my office building and I used to get cabin fever, even in a 15 minute break I would actually walk down the stairs (I hardly ever used the lifts) and just stand outside for some fresh air then walk back up again, that was my exercise too. I was so glad to get out, lunch times I would go for a walk and fortunately we had a park nearby so in the Summer I would walk to the park and eat my lunch on the grass, but the worst bit was having to pack up and go back inside! I hate air conditioning as well because that really dries me out and in the winter and it's cold and wet it's harder to go out, and most offices you cannot open the windows because of the air conditioning. I am not like that the person in the first category.. i am also always go outside when i fell litte tired from the computer or from files on my table.. Many people go may times for the tea and for smoking.. Most of the people go only for smoking.. If i feel hunger then i go outside and take some snacks.. there is no break boundation in offcie.. so i can go many times.. but i have to complte my daily work.. so i have to come fast.. [njc2009]

hello youless usually when that i am working at my part-time job, i will make myself a sandwich and grab some potato chips or something for my lunch. somedays when that i work, i might just grab myself a granola bar and some fruit of some kind or a yogurt cup. then sometimes on Friday's we will all order take out Chinese food or we will go out for a little while to eat lunch at the Chinese restaurant. and i always take my own soda or whatever that i want to drink for the day with me as well. i wouldn't be able to afford to go out to eat everyday at lunch time while that i was at work. i can make four or five sandwiches for the week, and then have leftover cheese and lunchmeat. lol and every time that i go out to eat, i do not care if it is at breakfast, lunch or dinner time, i always find that i over eat, and i leave the restaurant feeling too full. lol take care and have a beautiful day today! We often do, as most of us seldom pack lunch to work. Moreover there are food-stores, eateries and restaurants within walking distance, so we will take the opportunity to do some walking. It's also good to eat somewhere away from work! [lazeebee]

youless, Yes, you can count me as one of them. It is really good and relieving to stand up and step away. Does well with a break from the monotony and stress in the workplace. youless, You can also go out to a nearby shady place and still have your own moments outside of the office. So, in a way there is no loss at all. I just feel that the office environment is only suitable for work and not for our well deserved breaks. I like to go out for lunch at lunch time, it makes me feel very comfortable when breathing the fresh air outside the building after the working almost just sitting near the computer for nearly 4 hours in the morning. The moment when the guys of our company walking outside to have a lunch together seems to be the most funny and interesting time in our working day, we can talk something freely except work at the time, envn make some jokes. But it is a bit pity that there are not so much restaurants near our company, so we always don't have so much choice about where to eat when we have our lunch outside. [xianshuixyz]
I aggree with what you said about this issue, actually the time of work starting in our company every morning is 8:30, it seems a bit early, sometimes i feel a bit unaccustomed about this principle even though i have been working in this company for almost a year till now. [xianshuixyz]

I don't think it is fit to my habbit,because my company is very close to my home,and we don't take lunch to my company,I often go home to make my meal,and when I finish my lunch, I will have a nap at home,and I think it is good for my work. [kekexinfeng]

Hi, youless. I was always one of those employees that needed a breathe of fresh air during my lunch break. It helped me to get outside if only just briefly. Well, the only food available during lunch is outside of the office. And I rarely pack food to the office now a days. So it is always out of the office during lunch. And depending on the mood of the day, the venue for food can vary. Certain days, we go further away to enjoy a better lunch. Certain days, usually the busy ones, it is the nearby canteen for a quick meal and then it is back to work! lol [ahgong]
I used to do that. Waking up early to cook and pack the food for both me and my wife(girlfriend back then). But the work schedule was so much more relaxed then. Now, with a home and all the additional chores to do, I cannot even get out of bed in time to cook anymore. That is why I have to settle for outside food. I would prefer to bring my own food actually. lol [ahgong]
