If you will asked me, I don't use pencil anymore at my work. Once I already receive a call from a client. I always directly encode/type it on the notepad or on my thundernotes. Because it will be double work/effort for me. If I will wrote it on the paper. So I direclty type it. In that way I could use my left time to other work.

I always make sure that I have pencil at work. It is a great tool for drafting drawing or letter. Then just finalize it after your done composing or drawing. It's a good thing that you can erase mistakes rather than putting a line on top of it when using pen. It takes no time at all to fill your paper with erasures and still your unfinished and you will soon confuse your self specially when your dealing with computations. [Boyetski]

Yes, we do use pencil at work, everyday in fact we have tons of documents that we work on that we are required to use pencil. It makes it so much easier to correct things. When I am writing, I tend to reach for a pencil before I grab a pen, it makes life a little easier when I am working on a story to start off in pencil. Although, I have to admit, writing in pen is a lot smoother. [chulce]

yes, we have to use it for drawing and other purposes like calculation and sketching works. So , i still use pencil even for rough works. Actually doing rough work in book with pen makes it untidy while with pencil we can eben rub it. [coolcat123]
When we are checking something, to mark certain thing, we will use pencil as we can rub it later. Further, to have temporary notings and corrections, which higher ups have to see later, will be written in pencil. Hello kent_help2smile this is checkmail and me too often sometimes when outdoor, doesn't use much of pencil in my work.But when am at home i do regularly use pencil for doing my work, as its more convenient for me to rub it out and write another thing on it.I believe in recycling much and avoid much wastage as well as save paper as well as time.Me too think if got an laptop might quit pencil but not for the work where we need to write in speed, like taking notes etc. Happy mylotting. hello kent, It never gets old to us pencil, since it doesn't use ink we could use it longer than any other writing materials. it gives us a way to draft things before we can put it on marking pens. besides, we started using this when we are kids in the elementary school. it would be shame to just throw them away. and i even use it to draw things even if my drawings suckslollol [LetranKnight25]
I'm still in college but I do prefer pencil especially because of my course -- accounting. LOL Pencils are great for drafts and trial balance preparations. [louierrific24]

I do actually use a pencil at work. I am in invemtory control and there are often times when I have to take count of parts and such. Sometimes these totals may change and I have to erase my previous totals and write in my new ones. It actually saves a lot of time versus reprinting and/or retyping. [JenInTN]

Hi, Kent. I still use pencil at work. I consider it a very useful tool especially when I am checking the data that I am encoding. Pencil is a good tool to tick figures and review my drafts. With pencil, I don't have any worry to write anything on the sheet for my corrections. I can erase errors without leaving a dirty mark even on my drafts. [moneymakingtoday]
Yes, I use pencil at work. Maybe it depends on our type of jobs. My jobs involves tabulating and inventory, I use pencil to write my draft before submitting final report. Final report is encoded on computer. I also use pencil for some drawings at work, when we are describing incident report we have drawings, and then the final report is to be encoded on computer again. Yes i do. As a profession i am an IT Manager in a Call Centre but besides that i also do write storyboard i.e. (a panel or series of rough sketches outlining the scene sequence and major changes of action or plot in a production to be shot on fil or video) for documentry movies and some video films too.. so for storyboard writing i do use pencil.. and also to make the flowcharts too.. Notepad is the best way. However at our call centers our computers are restricted (i.e. we only have access to ONE program, and ONE program only). We cannot open up notepad. In fact, we HAVE to use pen and paper if we want to write anything down. It's not that bad because most of the time I just type it on the screen but sometimes the customer tells me something SO fast while the program loads that I like to have pen and paper available to write it down, you know? Nope, in my work, we need a ballpen and we need the three colored one...Because that would represent our shifts...Like the day shift would need a blue one, the evening shift would need a red one and for the nigh shift is the black one... At work, I still use pencils. I also use pens most of the time but, if I would write a comment or two, I really prefer to write it on pencil. I just like it that way. Doesn't make my work look too messy with only ink. If I could type everything immediately while I work, that would be very nice but, my work doesn't offer something like that at the moment.
