Going To Work

What's the 1 thing you dread the most about going to work. Is it the people, maybe your boss or the long hours. For me it's the bus ride to work. Once I'm there it's all right. I work with great people have a good boss and the perfect hours for me. What's your least favorite thing about work.

At one point, it was the boss. On another, it was my students I didn't like. [nympha687]
I guess it works both ways. [missybear]

Its got to be the fact that everything can be running smooth then within a second there is total chaos, which i suppose makes it interesting. Dont get me wrong i enjoy my work at the moment and the unpredictability of work is the only thing that i dont like about my job [smurfuk76]
I like it when things run smooth myself, I don't like havocangry [missybear]

I work from home as a freelance writer, so I don't have the same "dread" issues as others do when it comes to dreading the environment or the people they work with. However, I do dread the encounters I experience with people who don't think I'm really working and try to place expectations and responsibilities on to me that I just don't have the time for (or the interest in). I dread that daily. It happens less now, but a year ago it happened on a daily basis. I'm working, people, so leave me alone! Sheesh. [explorations]

Don't really dread anything about going to work other than just having to go. The place I work at is fine. It is a part time job for me as I am retired and receive my retirement check so my part time job is just for extra money and benefits. I like the hours and days off and it is not a hard job and the company has many benefits. The company I retired from a few years back I totally dreaded going to. It was a retail job and the company had changed so much over the years where the employee did not seem to matter much, just a number is what you felt like. Perhaps too the dread came from having been there so long and burn out on the job. So right now in my life I am fine, would rather stay home than have to work but that is not an option right now so I feel pretty lucky to even have a job right now as so many others do not! [ryzach]
Oh yeah, I remember the days of going to my previous job and hating it and it was not that long ago. So I know exactly what you mean. I used to sit in my car in the parking lot with a knot in my stomach and it seemed like forcing myself out of the car just to go inside. I hope things improve for you. Best of luck to you! [ryzach]

hllo missybear, i hate going to work for the transport,i dont have any means of transport and i had to totally depend on the bus.actually,i am so close to the boss, but i dislike the transport mode. i see we both have the same problem,i wish your problem will be cured soon an some other means of transport will be arranged,i am so sorry for you dear missybear, wish you good luck to have some other transport facility. ALL THE BEST...! [brajagopalan9460]
Thank you for being so nice and caring. [missybear]

my hubby toowink [riyasam]

I have to get out of bed. That's also my least favorite thing about going to the bathroom...I have to get out of bed. Well, I guess I don't have to, but it'd be pretty nasty if I didn't, so... [MYKLJ999_VERSION_2]
There is other options to that dilemma but I don't want to specify.wink [missybear]

My least favorite thing about going to work is some the people and then the days when it just seem like the night is going so slow(especially when we're not busy) angry [hardworkingmom]
I rather be busy any day, it makes time go by so much faster. [missybear]

When I was working in an office the things I dreaded the most were the long hours and the intense work load. Not to mention some of the people I had to work with just made everything so much worse. [Shar19]
It sure makes a difference who's working. I have certain days where I like coming to work more than others just because certain people are working. [missybear]

When I'm working it's the bit between waking up and getting there that I don't like :s It's the same when I'm at college; I hate getting up in the morning - it's unnaturally difficult for me! - and then having to actually get ready so I look normal, go out, get the bus and then walk through town to work/college, but once I'm there I feel better about it :D [LilyLoretta]
I'm an early bird so getting up is no problem. [missybear]

For me the thing I dread the most is the bad attitude that many employees here seem to share. No one likes to work together or help each other out and it drives me nuts. There is a huge lack of communication and everyone blames everyone else when things go wrong. Plus everyone loves to whine and complain constantly. Those are the things I hate about coming to work. [jesssp]
Luckily there isn't to much like that going on at my work. We are a pretty happy bunch. Of course there are exceptions. [missybear]

When I worked, I had two dreads - answering phones, and relieving/covering for whatever secretary was out that day. It meant working at another desk, office, with a Director or Administrator ordering me around, doing chores/jobs that I knew little about, etc. I came home sick. There were a lot of days like that. [JanetBRudman]
That's one thing I hate to do to is answering the phone, so I never do. Sometimes people get mad because I'm right there. After I would answer I have to push buttons to page and transfer the calls. I don't know how it works so I don't even bother picking up. [missybear]

i see. is nice to have good collegues.. for me... i am still a student yet. for now. if i say study attending classes as my work. hmm i think the one thing i dread most is i have to prepare a lot for one class.. and sometimes when it is a tough subject it takes me half a day to prepare for the next day.. other than that it is fine... oh yes, sometimes i don't like the teacher..!! when i have to work in the hospital. i think the workload gonna dread me. and the responsibilty that i have to bear. maybe schedule as well. happy mylotting. :) [lovesummer]
It sure makes a difference if you have a good teacher. [missybear]

Probably the fact that it's run by a bunch of snooty uptight no it alls whose parents PAID their way through college & have no clue how to manage anything!!!! [uath13]
There's too much to go into on a response but if you look back over some of my older discussions you'll get an idea what I'm talking about. [uath13]

The thing I dreaded most when I was working, I am laid off now, was I never knew what my boss was going to blame on me. I dreaded the intercom ringing and her saying, "Barb, you got a sec". I dreaded the end of the month, when I had to balance everything, and fall short by a penny, which I had to feverishly look for. Those days are over, now I dread the ringing of my phone every half hour each day from the bill collectors. [sudalunts]
i get those to and 9 out of 10 times it's not for me. [missybear]

Maybe working hours. For the last few years I used to work only for myself. More, I never work on Fridays. Now I am working not only on Fridays, but also on some Saturdays. Also, trip to work and from work takes way to long. Days are so short now. I also noticed that it costs more money when working for someone else. Commute, dress code, gasoline and on and on... [polachicago]
I like what I am doing now, but I didn't have a choice to work part-time or from home. I have fun job, but I don't like to be away from home for all day long.... [polachicago]

First I hate getting ready for work. Next I hate walking in the door to a messy store and someone goofing off and not working. [muscles4me]
I know what you mean. My co-worker that comes in at 2pm don't hardly do squat. [missybear]

I don't dread anything about my job until I add up how much money I make. This month has been a good month for me; I've made about $200. But I spent most of that on helping out a poor neighbor who works for me and is having issues with her food stamps card. I also spend money on debt repayment and work material. Why can I never get ahead? I think I'm going to have to stop being so nice and lending people money. I don't like to think that, but I think so. [cripfemme]
Sometimes when you to nice people take advantage of you. [missybear]

for me, currently it is my over-protective boss and my workload!!surrender [kevsgirlalways]
That would defenitly suck. [missybear]
