from the celebrity who stayed at a villa that I manage. I'm such a dodo. They left yesterday morning and I went to the villa before going to Church to say goodbye to them. They surprisingly gave me a gift bag that had his latest CD which will be released in April and a T shirt with his name on it. I thought that this was so kind and thanked them. They really were marvellous guests and such genuine down to earth people. They stayed with us for five weeks and each week they brought down a new set of guests and family. In fact, the first two weeks they brought down their employees and I thought that was so kind of them.
So I played the CD on the way home from Church and really enjoyed listening to him sing. I left the bag with the T shirt in the car and this morning when I arrived at work I took up the gift bag and brought it into my office.
Sometime later, I said to myself that I should really look at the T shirt. I knew that it had his name on it as all the staff received a T shirt and told me.
So I opened the T shirt and an envelope fell to the ground. When I opened the envelope there was a card thanking me and there were five $100 bills. I've been a a bit of a daze since then. This is so wonderful as most of my friends know that I will be in NC on the 26th of this month. I know that I did a good job and they had a wonderful time but I have never received this before as a tip. In fact, I do not normally get tips as I suppose that I have this air about me like I don't need it! At least, this is what I am told. They were more than generous with the staff too.
This is a tough month, what with going away and buying the chair and battling the increases in utility bills etc. I feel overwhelmed at their generosity and thank God for taking care of me. Has anything like this happened to you?

I am so sorry but I am not allowed to say as I would lose my job. I work as a Manager of an upmarket villa I am paid to be discrete. This is a part time job. I can tell you that we have had two British Prime Ministers, and maybe six movie stars and several International singers. The movie stars are high profile and all were so charming and great. Oh, Cynthiann, how sweet and generous of your guests! I believe GOD will take care of those whom are faithful. My husband just had a couple to come by to view a cattle trailer he has had sitting in the pasture for many years. When he was transferred on his job, he had to give up his cattle and never had started back. He told me a few minutes ago that the guy wanted to buy it and was very anxious. Funny thing is, he lives on the same road we do and has our last name! HE is not kin, either. I believe God sent him here. My husband had asked $800 although he has lots more in it, but it's old and needs lots of repair. I told him to sell it because he would probably never use it again. The guy is coming after it tonight after work with cash money. He also told my husband, when he got it all fixed up, he could come down and borrow it any time he wanted to! I've changed my mind re spending the money. I was going to take it to NC and buy clothes for work etc. I am looking a bit shabby at work and need a face-lift! LOL But I do have some money that I have been saving and so I put it into my US dollar bank account. I am saving to buy my daughter her wedding dress and something towards the reception. I am not a celebrity gusher so the thing that I take from your experience is the thoughtfulness of one human being to another, for whatever reason - your great service, or just because they have the means to be generous. You mention several other guests that have stayed previously at the villa, and this is the first time you have been tipped in such a way. I am sure you offered the same service to those previous individuals, but they obviously didn't have the generous spirit of your latest guest. [freelancewebdesigner]
We have famous people staying and ordianry people who come as a family group and have saved hard for this vacation. My policy is to treat each guest as a super star and I treat all guests the same. Well, I was gpoing to take it with me when I go to NC next week to see my daughter and buy things which will be unavailable in my country due to the economic crisis. But on second thoughts I put it into my US dollar account tosave for my daughter's wedding. I cannopt pay for the wedding but at lewast I can buy her dress and pay a few small bills. It's okay to have long stroies some of us love reading them. That was wonderful of the people to give you the gifts and the money. It's nice that they have it to give and are generous people. Yes, it was a wonderful thing for them to do and they did it so tastefully . The letter was so nice and we should have themn for a repeat booking next year so it has been wonderful.
