My boyfriend has been into doing woodworking for a few years now. He made most of our Christmas presents last year. Well, he made a bed for my grandson that looks like a tractor. My grandson love tractors, so he got this idea to make him a bed so he will be more interested in sleeping in it. This is his first big boy bed. I think it turned out very nice and I want to share it with everyone. Please tell me what you think. Thanks. It was hard to get good pics as his room is small and he has a lot of other stuff in there.lol.

It is beautiful. I bet your grandson loves it. My husband is big into woodworking also. Your boyfriend has a wonderful talent. My husband made our first bed out of walnut and we still have it 28 years later. Homemade is so much sturdier than a commercially bought one. [villageanne]
Yes, my grandson does love it. I forgot to add that under the hood is a toybox and there will be shelves inside the wheels for him to put toys or books on. Believe it or not, most of the wood he uses for it was from palletts. Its a very hard wood. Here is another pic. [brendalee]

That is an awesome bed that your boyfriend made as I can see that he is very good at woodworking and is very talented. I bet he is or could do very well making things like this bed as children would love to have a bed different than most others. Has he tried making fire engine beds or ambulance or police car type beds. I bet those would do well and sell a lot of those. [kgwat70]

That is so cute! My husband did a bunk type bed for my son. He made a desk for his computer under the top bunk. It was tall enough he wouldn't hit his head as he walked under it. My son loved it. It is nice to have someone so talented around. [ineedaname]
