Love em or hate them we all have to deal with bosses at one stage in our lives but this is a discussion to find out who's got the WORST boss, the most ruthless boss.
So if you have a boss, or had a boss who was nasty, vindictive or just plain cold I would love to hear from you.

Oh Dear I had a boss years back that I worked for and he was trying to harass me, because I wouldn't give in at the end of the month he didn't pay me!! So I left but I didn't know anything about my legal rights and I was too distraught to deal with it further. Fancy going to work and just because you don't want to do a sleep up you don't get paid for your honest work. This is sickening isn't it? [yanjiaren]

Hello wolfie, As you know, I'm (sort a) retired, but you also know (I think) I worked highway construction, and I am female. I was always a good worker, no problems ever- never any complaints. I went out on a job, my boss named Joe. He didn't like it because he had a woman work for him. He would tell me things, then not do it. Like if they were moving to another end of the job, he'd say "I'll have someone come get you." I was a flagman (traffic control). If they had a problem with the equipment breaking down, and ordered everyone off the road, but leave me with traffic stopped for a long time. Always one of the other workers would have to either come get me, or radio. (walkie talkies) Joe was supposed to come check on me, give me breaks, (take me to a bathroom), make sure I had water & was still alive:) but he didn't do any of this. The guys you know, can pee behind a tree, or a truck door, but I can't (or wont!). We worked 6 12 hour days out in 90-95 degree temperatures. About two weeks of that and I got sick. The company had to take me to the doctor, I had a kidney infection really bad. I would get so dizzy that I couldn't stand up. Our union got him fired, we found out later that he got a divorce and was gay. (I have nothing against being gay- he was a jerk!) This is the "short" of a longer story. [Heavensent53]

Well,I have the most self centered boss I know.Me. No joke,if I worked for me I wouldnt. I am terrible,its my way or the highway. But this is only because I like jobs to be done a certain way.I have found that if I want something done right,I do do the best job myself,and even now in my busy rime,I refuse to take any help on.I know it would only end in tears,for the person hired. I learned my trade in the army,and everything as you know is done by numbers,always works.I find it really hard to believe that some people cant count to 3.Always trying to take short cuts.Thats when I roar. I am a bugger to worj for,but at the end of the day,if I am paying the wages,then I expect things to be done my way. [jimbo45]
I dont see myself as a boss as such,I just need someone to do what needs to be done,with no moaning and how I like things to be done.That way,I know its done right.You try tuning a jag and not doing it by the book,some people cant even be shown how to put masking tape on right,and if thats not done to perfection,paint jobs just dont look right. I had one guy who was really good,but after he learned all he thought he needed to know,he said thanks and goodbye.He saw the benefit of doing things by numbers,he would have made an excellent soldier. Well you know I couldn't slag off my current bosses - ask weemam they are fantastic! So I think I will tell you a little bit about the worst boss I ever had! It was a long time ago and I got a job working in a computer factory with my then boss, just as I started he was promoted to supervisor on my shift! WE had bought a house together just after that and were soon married and all the time hew was still my supervisor! Unfortunately although I was a very good worker any little thing I did at work would get repaid when we got home! Everyone though I got preferential treatment but the truth was that I got away with nothing and was actually a lot worse off than anyone else was! Hi Wolfie,Most of my bosses have been great but I did have an older man for a boss at one time who was very grumpy.I always do my job to the best of my ability and give 150% so when he would snap at me I didn't say anything at first.About the 10th time he snapped at me I asked him if he was unhappy with my proformance and he said no that I did a very good job.I told him I was glad he was happy with me but the next time he snapped at me to have my paycheck ready because I would be out the door. He never was mean to me again and to this day when I run into him he gives me a big hug. I guess I'm not going to win! Hugs Friend [raydene]

I work in a home for developmentally disabled adults, this past week my boss removed the TV, for no good reason, but because he can. He does not permit the dishwasher to be used for pots and pans, because that is for lazy people. For safety reasons, the water in the house does not get hot enough to clean them effectively by hand. Last year, they had a cookout in July, I said I would like to use the grill, the grill had been standing dirty for 9 months, but it became my responsibility to clean the grill. When I was hired, I was given a completely different schedule then I was told I would get. The man also llies, he changes what is happening to suit his needs. When we mention the food that is purchased (very unhealthy) he says he is interested in the quantity of food served, not the quality. [Debs_place]

I'm my own boss.... As I am trying to get a photography business off the ground and do freelance photography..... So I'm in the mood to slam myself since, I'm myown boss, But I like the scene in Liar Liar where Jim Carrey does a rost with his bosses... There's a way he has in pulling that whole scene off. I do not have a boss, how sad. I am boss. I have six people working for me. I don`t give a damn whether they like to work for me or not. I just make that they do work. Call this ruthless, I am calling this being a good boss. I see to it that the work gets done on time. Rain or shine. [Inky261]
I had the boss from hell! While I was working for her I was a single dad trying to raise my son at the same time. Well every moring I would come to work and first thing to happen was be called into her office. Each time it was something different. One time I was to read a book and give her a book report about it, another time it was to take on an extra project she didn't feel like doing, another was to talk to a group about what I learned from my reading, other was just so I didn't go to an event that was going to be fun and a little work, then it happened... She called me in the office and shut the door and said you have to choose! You either work for me or your a dad, which is it? WOW! I couldn't believe my ears esspecially when I was working 10 hours already. Short of the story was the Vise President of the company gave me a promotion and I didn't report to her ever again. And the rest of the story... She was going for VP of Sales and became pregnant and had to leave the company. [TheAngelWhisper]
I have had some pretty nasty bosses in my days but I have to admit the one that I have had for 2 years now has got to be the worst of them all...My first day on the job he tells me not shows me to got stock the product on the shelf. I did what he asked and 3 weeks later he calls me in the office and writes me up for stocking the shelf wrong. I did not price anything because he never gave me a pricing gun! Every day for 2 years he have had something negative to say to someone about their stocking ablities. Your too slow - work harder - your wrote up for this or that... well 2 weeks ago he called us all to the back of the store for a meeting and pointed to each one of us and told everyone that was standing there why we were wrote up and on what date and wanted us to sign them. I flat out refused to sign any of mine and told him that it was not an embarassing moment for me but for him. I said that if the manager had trained us or had a meeting about changes we would not have been wrote up. Whos the horses butt now? Found out 3 nights ago he is leaving for good on Friday. All night long you could here me saying " sorry to see you go, sorry to see you go, hope the h*e*l*l you never come back, sorry to see you go. Yes the next 1 might be worse but I really doubt it. hugs [bambi_doe]

Well Wolfie how about this one My Illness was diagnosed 100% 5 years ago, my old Boss retired and guess what the A$$hole that took his place and didn't even know his own job decided to bully me out of Job I could prove everything he said was wrong, this is now why I am on Anti depressants, also why I believe I am totally useless as they could not have shown me it any better. I had been in the Job 8 years and never let them down once but I got so ill through the fight with the Company I didn't even take it to court. They gave me a payout which was nothing compared to what they had put me through. They knew that the Bloke was lying but they had to keep face of course, I had witnesses and Paperwork to prove the Opposite and I fought till I collapsed that is when the Doctor said enough [gabs8513]
