Do you like to sleep in a little longer, like I do, then rush around to get ready for work? Or do you like to get up early so you have plenty of time to relax and take it easy before work?
I like to stay up late, so morning's are not usually my best friend! So when I get up, I usually take a quick shower, get dressed and ready, then I usually will eat a banana on the way to work or a granola bar, or soemthing along those lines. Once in awhile I will have some cereal. In the morning my breakfast before work is usually something fairly quick to prepare. Luckily, I only work down the street so it's less than a ten-minute drive.
Please share your morning routine before work.

I do not work now, but when I did I had an hour and a half drive each way. Some mornings it was almost 2 hours. I needed to get up extra early. I grabbed breakfast around the corner from work, as 4.30am was always too early for me to eat. [Goodie123]
Hi there Bethany! I don't really have a regular job so I can wake up as late as I want to. What I do when I wake up is check if my son's already awake. If he is, I'll prepare breakfast then we'll eat. Then we'll shower and he'll play on his playstation while I clean the room or prepare and cook lunch, then we'll eat lunch then we'll go here to our internet cafe. If he's still sleeping, I will add waiting for him to get up while I'm reading a book or watching tv then the other things I mentioned above will follow too. But that routine will change once school starts again because we will both be going back to school. Oh, and if you're wondering why I haven't mentioned my husband, he doesn't eat breakfast. he just shower then go straight here to our internet cafe. He's in charge here. [nanayangel]
sleeping late in the morning will spoil my whole day, because I will not having enough time to eat and think of the days work. My routine starts with meditation ( after ablutions),playing with children and a good breakfast with family members. [samson1967]
I get up early to drink coffee and wake up. The house is nice and quiet. I check news and email and if I have time, I will come to mylot! [laglen]
Hi there Bethany! Since i am on leave for a couple of weeks, i enjoy sleeping little longer. After getting up, my routines are taking coffee, reading newspapers, opening mails, entering into Mylot and other sites where i am registered, take bath, have breakfast, go out and enjoy! [snakequeen]
I work at home so I am leisurely in the mornings. I just take my time and do whatever I want to do. I go to my lot after I read my email. I usually get up around nine o'clock although this morning I am up early. [snowy22315]
Even as I´m unemployed,I very seldom sleep longer than to 8 o´clock in the morning. When I go up,first I switch on the coffee machine, then I switch on the computer. [Garfield1]
I'm a stay home mom, so I typically sleep in a bit. Sometimes I get up early with my husband, help him get his socks and things, make him something to eat, but usually I get up around 8:00. I put on the coffee, make my son's breakfast, and let him watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Little Einsteins while I have my coffee and check my email & the news. After that, we get up from our respective screens and clean for a bit. He loves to "help" me! After we've cleaned up, we play in his room or outside for the afternoon, and then pick up the living room again right before my husband gets home. Okay, so that's more like my whole day, not just the morning! Sorry, lol! [FaerieAne2003]
Hey Bethany. I am still a student and now I don't usually have classes in the morning. Thus I can take my time to do all those things. I would like to sleep longer too. But I just can not make it in the dorm. Thus I always get up at the same time every morning. Then I will clean myself and have my little breakfast ofter a cup of coffee and bread. Then I study. [chrissieatu]
Of course ,l like to sleep late in the morning ,but the fact is that ,l have a lot of work to do ,l must get up earlier so that l have enough time to have a fast breakfast and make a timetable of the things that l will do today. Compared with sleeping late in the morning ,l would like to make meditations. [xiaoxiaoting]
Hello Bethany. You are a lucky lady. I have to get up at 5 in the morning every week day and leave home for work at 6:30 ! That's quite a bit of a rush. So, my breakfast is usually toasts and a cup of coffee. The saying "Thank God it's Friday" is really so meaningful for me. Saturday morning , no phone calls, no TV, no visitors, no appintments , no nothing, just sleep, skeep, and sleep ! Ha ha ! Have a nice weekend ! [greenline]
I work from home and don't have set hours so for me, I get to sleep in for as long as I like and then go about my work in a relaxed manner. Most of my work is done online, and so it also affords me the time to post on Mylot at the same time, and chat to my friends too. I do tend to stay up late at night - I'm very much a nightowl, and so I will stay up till 2 or 3am, and then sleep till 10am. I usually do three hours of work per day, and then call it a day. I love the freedom working from home affords me. I don't have to contend with being stuck in a morning and afternoon commute, and being in a familiar environment means I'm more relaxed while I'm working. [angelwhispers30]
I usually get up around 7-7:30 and eat breakfast around 8 while I'm checking my email. Then get dressed, take care of the dogs, and then I'm out the door. We live and owrk on a ranch, so everything from then on is dependent on the time of year and what needs to be done. [newtondak]
I stay at home with my kids now. But when I was working I hated getting up early, so I tried to sleep in as much as I could. When I got up I got ready really fast, and grabbed breakfast at the deli beside where I worked. [angel41465]
When I was still working, I always sleep late and wake up like 6 am to take a shower and have some tea or coffee then go to work, very rare that I can take my breakfast because I am tired to cook in the morning. Now that I am not working, My husband regularly sleep at around 9-10 pm then wake up 530 am, no breakfast still since we both don't eat in the morning, only a cup of tea/coffee! [checapricorn]
I prefer to be able to get up early so that I can have coffee, read email or myLot, look at the news, etc. But, I have been going to bed so late lately that I'm lucky to even get up early enough to shower. I don't eat breakfast at home, I take it to work with me. So, I get up, shower if I have not done so the night before, get dressed, brush teeth, grab lunch and the rest of my stuff and get out the door. [dfn12968]
See, my problem is that I like staying up late, BUT, I also have to get up early every morning with the kids to get them to school... Sigh... so I typically function on 5 hours of sleep and a gallon of coffee.... lol I am not a breakfast gal, so I just get up, get dressed, down some coffee and go. LOL [quiltedblessings]
of course, i like to sleep in a little longer. in the 6:30 morning, my alarm rings and i wake up.because of the rush traffic,i must make my breakfast quickly and rush to my company. on the weekend, i will sleep as long as i want, if no job, no appointment, no something i must do in the morning. haha, i wish everyday we can do as this, but the fact is that we couldn't.i am a early bird. [seeyounext125tom]
I like to sleep when I sitting at the classroom.. but I like to get up early every morning. [andyloveling]
Hello Bethany1202 Ji, Right from my child-hood and as I recollect, I have made my point, to leave the bed and get-up, before, Almighty Sun's first ray comes to earth. I go to my bed by 10 PM, now-a-days, I leave the bed any time after 0300 hrs, and be with you all, in between, when speed reduces to less than 31kbps, I keep doing my morning works, involving drinking of two glass water, ckear my bowls, gargling with warm water added with common salt. My wife gets up at 0700 hrs, and we take tea, go for walk together, discuss about whole day's programme, return by 0800 hrs, read News-paper for half an hr. and after bath, little worship, take B'fast together at 0900 hrs and carry on with whole day. We pass our time, reading / cooking / comptering and so on. At this age of 70, we walk 3-4 mile everyday including walk in the evening as well. There is a old saying, 'EARLY TO BED EARLY TO RISE, MAKES HEALTHY, WEALTHY AND WISE' have a nice time. [chintoo07]
My routine when I worked outside the home involved a commute of 104 miles a day and I worked a swing shift. Breakfast could be a midnight, dinner at 9 AM. Needless to say I do not miss those days. How I wake up in the morning is by going out and jumping in my Above Ground Pools My routine now is to be up by 8, having morning coffee on the balcony where I jot down a quick to do list for the day. Then I start working in my home office on various projects that I need to complete. I makes me feel good when I'm getting around in morning and see my Aceo Paintings [syeryn]
Usually my fiance and I's morning routine, even though we usually sleep until either two or three in the afternoon,is get up,get something to eat,and then get on mylot. The Thermometers is always reading really cold in the morning at my house. [hellcowboy]
I'm a night owl also, so I usually stay up til about 12-3AM, sleep til' 6:15 AM, eat breakfest, hop in the shower (well step, hopping might hurt), get dressed, and in the car by 6:50. [brianhanson37]
well as a stay at home mom with 2 kids, i usually wake up every 4 o'clock in the morning to start my day. [nilanym]
I work second shift and generally wake up about 10 or 10:30, so I'd say I like to wake up early to take time to get ready and relax before I go in. By relaxing I mean sitting online, showering, making my dinner for work and generally doing nothing. Then, about 20 minutes before I leave I get ready and rush out the door. [earthsong]
I dont like to wake up early in the morning, im still sleepy and its because i always sleep aroun 12pm-2am. The earliest time for me to sleep is 12pm every night. Hmmm... If possible, i always enroll subjects start around 9am to 7pm. But if i cant, i just adapt with new routine tasks, wake up morning! I hate to wake up early in the morning... Because wake up late, i cant take my breakfast before go to campus, and i have it around 10am in cafetaria. The day when i should wake up early in the morning, i drink chocolate milk or coffee... Its good for my stamina and concentration to start the day... [manya_pearl]
wake up,do the exercise and eat breakfast then shower and fixing myself..thats all! [chryss]
Hi Bethany, I count my 1951 Bowman Baseball Cards my daily routine on working days start with 5 am alarm angry how I hate it, but have no choice, I get quickly ready as I have to catch 6 am bus because if I miss this bus then I will be caught into huge traffic jam on highway and that will ruin my day.......so 7 am I reach the central bus station from there I walk for about 20 minutes and reach my desk by 7:30 pm. I punch my card and then make myself my first cup of tea and then carry on with my usual office work. On weekends I do sleep late because whole week I am waiting for this morning when I will not hear that angry sound.....lol, but maximum 9 am and start my day slowly because I know rest of my family are going to sleep till 12 am.........this is how my life is going on........Thanks for asking. [apsara60]
I'm used to get up early in the morning since I was in kindergarten, since my school is an hour and more drive from home. I just wake up put on my North Face Coats and walk out the door.Today when i woke up I took a Fertility Test I like having my time in the morning so I like to get up early and prepare things in the morning. I don't like rushing, it makes me feel unprepared for the whole day. [ucancallmedissy]
I retired two years ago and i am enjoying most of it. I rise every morning at 5:30 head to the beach for my morning swim. Pass by my parents for a cup of tea, then home to my garden. Feed the fish play with the dogs and look for a new recipe to prepair for lunch and check my email. Life is wonderful. I pop my back in the morning feels like I need to look into ACL Surgery Options after sleeping on my hard bed. Maybe I should get a Pedometers to count how many steps it takes to to get ready in the morning. [ChefMiguel]
Well, I am usually one who likes to sleep as long as I can before getting up and going to work each morning. Then I have a short time usually after I get dressed to get all of my stuff ready for work, and then if I have time I get on myLot for a short bit, check my earnings from the day before, and try to answer a couple of New discussions or two. Then I am off to work stopping somewhere for a quick bite to eat for Breakfast, and then catch the bus. [KrauseHome]
I first get up, get dressed, and then I read the Bible. After that I write on my novel and then do some mylotting, have breakfast around eight, then do some myLotting until a little after ten when I go for a walk. I will do some mylotting and then will have lunch. I work at home, so you can consider the myLot as part of my work and the novel writing as work I have not gotten paid for as of yet. I will work a bit in the afternoon as well, but much of that is housework, working in the garden, or watching Tv although do take a little nap. [suspenseful]
