Beyond a doubt, everybody likes to work from home, except for certain workoholics.But then everybody has a reason or two.Some need to take care of their babies,Some might be decorating their house or repairing, worse some are ill.So what would be your reason for working from home.

From the point of view of preserving the environment, it seems working from home helps cut additional green house gas emissions from transportation exhausts... If one day much of the power will be generated by hydroelectics, aeroelectrics and solar-electrics, then it's gonna be a healthy planet for our grandchildren and their children. A few of my friends and I work from home because we are still studying. Working from home allows us to have time to do assignments and research at anytime and work when we can. [cloudi]

I am a housewife. However right now I am going through a divorce and battling for the custody of my four year old. Because of my preoccupations in the case, I cannot take up a job right now, which is why i prefer working from home. [mohinimandokhot]

Since February of this year i have been unemployed and looking for a job, so i turned to the internet to make some extra money. I can say i am online trying to make a living and working from home because i am currently unemployed and need to earn some type of money to keep things rolling around home. I think by doing online PTC sites and then writing for certain companies online does help but i always need to be looking for a job and not always working from home. [lologirl2021]

Hi untimateasoka. First of all, I work from home because it gives me more time to spend with my family,it's more comfortable, and it saves me money from taking transportation to go to work everyday. The most important reason I prefer to work from and be my own boss is because I don't have to worry about losing my job by getting fired. Yes, I prefer to work from home because of the flexibility and less stress dealing with the attitude problems of some workers at work. That was one of the main reasons I quit my previous job and currently work full time from home. I don't have my own business, but I am spending more time on exploring the net to make money online. Two years ago after I got married, I started a blog and monetized it. It was so fruitful and after I went back to work, I still did it and now, I am doing it again, but it is a bit slow and not much, but at least I am doing and earning something. So, that's my reason working from home. I am also looking for a job, but I just don't want to rush. happy [corrycrystal]

i was working for home until i wasnt making very much money, so i got a job outside of the house. i dont mind going to work, i like the people i work with and find that working from home is actually sort of boring. you have no one to talk to (except the cat!) [cher913]

I have a full time away-from-the-home job that works out well for me. I just go to work, get paid, use their resources... Then I have a work-from-home job that I do part-time. That works well because I'm not leaving the house again after a long days work. [reinydawn]

working from home . i ll go for this only on situations when i can't go to the office directly.Working from home has a lot of disadvantages too according to me.It prevents our movement with outside world and corporates.we cannot interact easily.Though we have chat we could not get that feeling of a real meeting.It reduces one's contacts [vinkam]
Well, thats true, no denial.Everythings has its own pros and cons.It is true there would be restriction on your interactions unless you make some effort ( like using webcam, or going for stroll etc..).But then, being at home has its own advantages as well.Hope you understood.Happy mylotting! I've been working from home for 6 years now and I couldn't dream of doing anything else. I earn all my income from working online and I earn enough to make the mortgage payments and pay all my bills on time. I'm a freelance writer and all I've ever wanted to do was write. I was already working from home when I had my daughter 4 years ago, so it made it the perfect job for me to stay at home and work around my daughter's needs. [Raven1]

Now, I want work from home. May be make a small bookstore in my house. But I don't have a lot money to make over my house. So, I try make money from internet for gathering money. If I look my kids everyday alone only with baby sitter. All my time & my wife time only use for working outside. When we go to work, my kids still sleep sleep when We are going home, my kids already sleep too. That is bad. First of all, it is because of my tuition fees. I had a scholarship but it is not enough for me to settle up my fees, my apartment and plus my life expenses. I have another 1 semester to finish up my degree, and I'm very stress when I'm thinking about my tuition fees for this semester and for the next semester. Just for this 2 semester that I'm stuck, where can I find more extra money? I had try to work for one of the publisher company but I've a limited time to spend for studying and finishing my assignment. So, I decide to find any alternatives to work from home. Beside I almost spend my 24/7 in front of my PC, so why not I try to use the internet opportunity to gain some of extra money. It's nice because you have flexible time (usually) and of course, you get to take care of your kids longer compared to having an 8-hour office job. It's very hard work though since most people seems to think that you're not really working hence, they're constantly asking you to do things for them -- at least that's what my daughter does! :-) [rychelle314]
Yes, flexibility in working time is one of the added advantages of working from homw.Well even if you working hard at home,it has a pleasure of its own and the results of the work has a direct impact on you.In offices usually an 8 hour job gets extended to a 10 hour job , but at home you would be able to check that.Thanks! I am wanting to work from home to be with my family more. I am currently on maternity leave and have noticed that we are saving money on gas, food, clothes, and child care. Granted these savings don't make up for the other bills we have to pay. This is where the working from home comes in. but it is so hard to find something lagit that doesn't cost an arm and leg to get started, and if it doesn't cost it doesn't pay enough to supplement my husbands income enough to let me stop working [Cemerson01]

It is simple enough. I just want to be comfortable, and no where more comfortable than your very own home right? I am also a bit of lazy, and I can sleep late at home. I guess I can dare to share my thoughts here in this discussion, even though I do see that it was started some time ago. I like to work at home because of the independence. It is nice not to have to worry about a boss to answer to on a day to day basis. I have always wanted to be my own boss. And that dates all the way back to when I was a little kid, and didn't even know what it was like to have a boss, that is besides my parents. But now, I want it even more. I have been in the work force, and I really enjoy working with numbers, working with finance, and working with cars. But, to work for myself has been my long time dream and that is why I do it. If I were able to work from home, it'd be so I could spend more time with my children. I don't get to see them very much because I work in the afternoons/evenings. I get to see them in the morning, I appreciate that, but I wish I could spend more time with them in the evenings. [CRSunrise]
