There are big difference between money and satisfaction, most of the peoples
would prefer to get the employment with good self satisfaction along with good
earning too. But recently many of them would always prefer to work only for
money and never bother about their satisfaction on their jobs. Do you prefer

Hi, basically our first target is money and we work for that to satisfy our day to day need and to fulfil our requirements. But as and when the time passes by then we look out for job satisfaction as well because by that time we are earning sufficient for our needs. The phase changes and then we look for position or designations. Money is one of the important factor for all , like even if you are getting a good designation or positon but less money then you will not prefer to take up that job, but ofcourse when the payscale is good and when your are progressing then you look for designation and position. And ofcourse then comes the job satisfaction as well, when you are getting paid properly and enjoying your work. SO it depends on phase in which the person is going through. I prefer now position rather than money as I have passed through that phase and earning a decent amount, but ofcourse if I get a chance with high payscale and have to comprimise a bit with the position I am ready to do that as well.lol [babshish]

I think people think money can buy anything but I think money cant buy anything .i will like to do that work in which I can enjoy my work in I am passiont about live some people passionate about singing ,dancing etc...My opinion is you should do that work in which you can enjoy your work it will umproove your performance and it iwill improove your personality. Hi Binthu, back in the 1980s when I started in IT in England, I had a job that I loved. Problem was that every month paying the bills was becoming more and more difficult, to the point that you would start running up debt far beyond a level with which you could cope. The company wanted to keep me, but they could not afford to pay substantial pay raises at the time, and sadly I had to leave them just to keep my head above water. yeah, that is the most reasons many work because of money and for security reasons. As when a person do not have money then he is compare to lesser category, alive but useless when their is nothing to contributes. Especially in a family who are in desperate need to earn and yet only one member have job or the sole provider which become unfair when no one in the family do their shares. Right now, I work for money. People would choose satisfiction when they don't have to worrry about money, when they are rich, but I am poor now. So I choose money over satisfiction. Yeah Binthu, what you said is the right. I prefer satisfaction and to earn for working and being satisfied. Am a student and not yet entered in to the earning world. Hi Binthu, I definitely would prefer to work for both money and satisfaction but it is not very possible in times like this when having a job is already like having food for your everyday meal. Why I would say this is simply because I have been looking to secure a job for months (unsuccessfully). I need the money. There is no denying that. I am even thinking about going back to a job i hated because I need a steady income. My social secerity disibility isn't enough. So I need to live. Without money I wouldn't have food, or anything else I need. and I would be wondering the streets. I don't want, nor need that. The problem is, with work condintions and unemployment at an all time high, people are finding it harder and harder to just get buy. Money is on most minds these days, for this country there is more poverty than wealth. I am trying to get a career started in social work to help the people in need rather than make myself rich. Hi Binthu, I can't stay in a job I am not happy in. It may be different for other people. There have been times I just wanted to quit straight away but because of responibilities to my family, I could not and would not do that. I just had to search for another job and bide my time until I came across something that I felt I would be happy with and where the pay was similar if not better. If you're not happy at work you're going to be bringing the stress home, which does not help the family at all.So, I need the money but I need to be happy in my job at the same time.It's not always easy to find both but you just got to keep lookinghappy Fiona. If one has a "job", it only means the person needed money to meet our daily needs. It would be better if one's job is the job he/she really wants. Many people ended up in jobs that they don't loved just because they needed one. Exemptions to my point of view are those volunteering jobs which do not pay salaries (ex. Red Cross). I would love to have a job doing something that I really looked forward to but to be honest, for me, the job is about payinf the bills and maintaining the type of lifestyle that I want to live.
